The seniors final game in their build up to next Staurday's Championship match verses Carbery ended in defeat at Midleton on Saturday night last. Killeagh got off to a blistering start with 2 goals in the first 4 minutes but points from Ian Ronan (2) and Aidan O' Connor left Killeagh leading 2-1 to 0-3 after 10 minutes. Killeagh had points in th 12th and 13th minutes before Ballyhea hit a purple patch scoring 1-7 in 12 minutes, some excellent points from Ian Curtin and a well taken Darren Ronan goal in the 25th minute. But Killeagh finished the half well scoring 1-1 to leave the sides level 1-10 to 3-4 at half-time

Killeagh had a point in the 1st minute of the second half, Ian Ronan replied with a point before the East Cork lads had their 4th Goal in the 33rd minute. Jonathon O' Sullivan 30th minute) and Neil Ronan (26th minute) had points to leave Ballyhea just trailing bt 1 point. But amazingly Ballyhea were not to score again.

Eight unanswered points for last years County Intermediate Champions gave them the league points.
