Cork County Intermediate Hurling League Round 6 BALLYHEA 1-12 YOUGHAL 2-15 (21/08/04) Played At | Ballyhea. The Intermediate hurlers chances of making the league semi-finals suffered a setback when they lost to Youghal at the field on Saturday evening. Ballyhea started well with an early goal from the impressive Kieran "Bridie" O' Riordan but despite creating several opportunities in the opening half we only led by a point at the break 1-7 to 1-6. Youghal came much more into it in the second half and though we led 1-11 to 1-9 after forty five minutes they began to pick off the scores after that, culminating with the vital second goal on fifty minutes to finish the game off. We now have one league game to play against Inniscarra and will need to win this to have any chance of progressing further.
