Our Juniors had another good victory in the league last Friday night at Ballyhea over Buttevant after an exciting contest. Both sides exchanged the lead regularly with Ballyhea leading 0-6 to 0-5 at half- time. Ballyhea's scorer's in the first half were Johnny O' Flaherty (3 pts), Brian O' Shaughnessy (2 pts) and Conor Condon. In defence Michael O' Mahony and Eoin O' Keeffe performed very well
The second half was played with Championship fever with points from Brain O' Shaughnessy (35 min) and Derek Mackessey (37 min). Buttevant hit a purple patch midway through the second-half scoring 4 points on the trot to lead 0-9 to 0-8 with 3 mins remaining. But points from John "Cash" Mortell (51 min) and Johnny O' Flaherty from a penalty in the 55th minute put Ballyhea 2 points clear.
Buttevant had a late chance from a 21 yard free but the Ballyhea defence stood firm with Danny O' Donoghue bringing off a fine save and ensuring another excellent result.
